Synopsis

In Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, the worldwide craze of Action Duels—where duelists can freely move and battle alongside their Duel Monsters—grows thanks to advances in "Solid Vision" technology, which brings Duel Monsters to life as tangible entities. Yuuya Sakaki, whose father Yuusho founded the You Show Duel School in Miami City, follows his father's belief that dueling should bring happiness rather than be used as a weapon. Even after Yuusho disappears just before a key match against Action Duel champion Strong Ishijima, Yuuya stays devoted to becoming an Entertainment Duelist like his father. In a later duel against Strong Ishijima, Yuuya's resolve to win causes an unexpected reaction from his pendant, transforming his cards into Pendulum Cards and allowing him to perform the previously unknown Pendulum Summon. This achievement thrusts Yuuya into the spotlight. In response, Reiji Akaba, CEO of Leo Corporation and head of the prestigious Leo Duel School, starts producing new Pendulum Cards to incorporate Pendulum Summoning into the dueling system. As Yuuya explores the secrets behind Pendulum Summoning and his father's past, he gradually grasps the true meaning of being an Entertainment Duelist.
