In Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, the narrative follows Yuuya Sakaki, a mysterious Entertainment Duelist known as "The Phantom," who is tormented by three separate identities: Yuuto, Yuugo, and Yuuri. Yuuya is on the run from the Leo Corporation for hacking into their Solid Vision mass system and using it without authorization. During his flight, he encounters Yuzu Hiiragi, the daughter of the principal at the financially struggling Syu Zo Duel School, who forces him into a contract to teach there. Before he can start his teaching role, Yuuya must locate a key card called Genesis Omega Dragon, which is believed to determine the world's fate and is tied to his fragmented memories. The story takes place in an alternate version of Miami City, where the Leo Corporation, led by President Reiji Akaba, controls the city's Solid Vision technology. This tech has made "Action Duels" possible and has been vital in saving lives and repairing damage from disasters, making it essential to daily life.
