House of Five Leaves

Synopsis

In the tranquil Edo period, Masanosuke Akitsu, known as Masa, is a wandering ronin without direction, celebrated for his skill with a blade yet hindered by a timid nature that marks him as untrustworthy. Frequent dismissals lead him to doubt his commitment to the samurai path. At his lowest point, Masa meets Yaichi, a cheerful figure in pink, who unexpectedly hires him as a bodyguard. Unaware of the job's true intent, Masa becomes entangled in the shady dealings orchestrated by Yaichi and their crew. As he ventures deeper into the Five Leaves organization, Masa wrestles with his own moral code, but his curiosity drives him to uncover the motives and history of this enigmatic criminal band.
