Synopsis
Gorou Honda is a young boy with an intense passion for baseball and a deep admiration for his father, Shigeharu. Driven by the dream of becoming a professional baseball player just like his dad, Gorou's innocent enthusiasm becomes a source of encouragement for Shigeharu, helping him cope with the loss of his wife and his lackluster performance as a member of the Blue Ocean second-string team. Shigeharu's career takes a downturn when an elbow injury forces him to the sidelines, plunging him into a period of deep despair. However, a chance conversation with an old friend prompts him to reconsider his future, leading him to ultimately stay in the game but shift from pitching to batting. This renewed dedication further inspires Gorou to strive for excellence in the Japanese Little League.
