Synopsis

In "Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Time," Gen Kudou, a skilled koto maker, doubts that his mischievous grandson Chika has the capability to truly understand the intricate artistry of the koto. Driven by a desire to redeem himself and uncover the significance of his late grandfather's last words, Chika decides to join the Koto Club at Tokise High School. The club, struggling with a low number of members, faces a tough decision when new leader Takezou Kurata considers Chika's application, wary of his notorious behavior. But upon seeing Chika's genuine dedication and enthusiasm, Takezou grants him membership along with koto prodigy Satowa Houzuki and three of Chika's energetic friends. The series chronicles the journey of this diverse group of students as they prepare to compete in the national tournament.
