When Aika suddenly passes away under mysterious circumstances, Mahiro disappears, consumed by his thirst for revenge against her killer. For a month, Yoshino returns to his daily routine with no contact from Mahiro until a strange girl confronts him at gunpoint. Just as the situation turns critical, Mahiro reappears to save him. Yoshino learns that Mahiro has sought the help of a witch named Hakaze Kusaribe to uncover the truth behind Aika's death. However, Hakaze has been exiled to a deserted island due to conflicts within her clan. Her brother, Samon, plans to exploit the power of the Tree of Exodus, disregarding Hakaze's warnings about the imminent threat to the planet.
