Summary
A month has passed since Mahiro Fuwa departed to hunt down his family’s murderer, navigating the case with no initial leads. His path crosses with Yoshino when the latter is held at gunpoint, prompting Mahiro to intervene from an unexpected direction. He demonstrates the ability to halt bullets in mid-air, explaining that he is backed by a pact with Hakaze Kusaribe. She is not merely any sorceress but the strongest of her kind, and she has promised to use her magic to help Mahiro identify his family’s killer so that he may exact personal revenge. Following the rescue, Mahiro reveals details about a dangerous epidemic: a curse that transmutes living beings into metal.
