Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu
フルメタル・パニック? ふもっふ
Synopsis
In Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu, Sergeant Sousuke Sagara is tasked with protecting Kaname Chidori, a high-value military asset, while she attends Jindai High School. His poor grasp of social conventions and everyday civilian life triggers a series of humorous and perilous incidents that disrupt the tranquil school atmosphere Kaname values. Sousuke resorts to an array of weapons to handle both actual and imagined dangers, while Kaname struggles to fulfill her role as student council vice president and rein in his over-the-top behavior. On certain missions, Sousuke dons a disguise as the popular theme park mascot, Bonta-kun, turning the outfit into a high-tech exoskeleton, though it has one flaw—the voice synthesizer only produces the sound "mofu." The story follows the pair's attempts to maintain a typical school life amid the turmoil they unintentionally create.
Background
Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu adapts content from novels 1 to 3, 5 and 6 of Shoji Gatoh's side story light novel series Full Metal Panic! Tanpenshuu. Episode 9 adapts content from the other side story series Full Metal Panic! Side Arms. While listed as 12 episodes, Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu's original Japanese broadcast cut episode 2 due to current events regarding a series of kidnappings in Japan at that time. However, this episode is included in the DVD version.
