Sousuke Sagara is far from a typical high school student. He is deeply into military magazines, replies with a crisp "affirmative," and carries grenades in his backpack as if it were normal. His classmates see him as just a military enthusiast, but Kaname Chidori suspects there is more to him. During a school trip, their plane is hijacked, and Kaname's instinct proves correct: Sousuke is a professional mercenary and mecha pilot assigned to protect her.
