Synopsis

In January 2012, Nikkei revealed on its website that a remake of the anime series was being produced by Shin-Ei Animation and Indian production company Reliance MediaWorks. This announcement was part of an initiative to create multiple remakes of popular anime television series for broadcast across Asian television stations, aiming to counteract the stagnation of Japan's domestic anime market caused by the country's declining birthrate. The new series started airing in India and Indonesia in May of that same year.
