Summary
Rin Houjou, who goes by the moniker "Shinigami," is the elder brother of Gou Houjou and stands as a legendary driver within Kanagawa. His history is marked by a long-standing feud with Ryousuke, a conflict rooted in their rivalry over Kaori, who was Rin's arranged fiancée. The situation escalated when Rin verbally abused Kaori, threatening that she and her family would be ruined if she rejected him. This abuse drove Kaori to commit suicide. Following this tragedy, Rin withdrew from the racing scene and lived as a recluse, isolating himself in his home for years. He eventually made a surprising return to the sport, participating in unofficial races against Ikeda, the leader of Team Spiral. Renowned as an extremely skilled driver, Rin is known for employing a dangerous driving style.
