Oni no Hanayome Brings Ishida & Fukuen Aboard as Reiya’s Parents

Sunday’s update from the production of Oni no Hanayome (The Ogre’s Bride) finally put names to the faces of Reiya Kiryuin’s parents. Veteran voice actor Akira Ishida takes on Senya Kiryuin, while Misato Fukuen steps in as Sara Kiryuin—roles that already made their on-screen bow in Saturday’s fourth episode.
The summer fantasy romance, adapted from Kureha’s light novels, has been airing since early July across Tokyo MX, BS11, and partner stations. Colored Pencil Animation Japan is handling the series under director Kazuhito Oomiya, with Yumi Kamakura steering series composition and Masaru Yokoyama scoring the soundtrack.
Ishida and Fukuen’s arrival deepens the Kiryuin clan’s presence just as the story leans harder into family politics and the uneasy harmony between humans and oni. Fans can catch the new cast in current episodes as the courtship between ordinary student Yuzu and ogre heir Reiya keeps heating up.
