Ave Mujica Hits Theaters Oct. 16: Prima Aurora Trailer & Key Visual Drop

The masked idols of Ave Mujica are heading for the big screen with a firm date. Bushiroad’s BanG Dream! franchise has dropped the first proper trailer for BanG Dream! Ave Mujica prima aurora, confirming a theatrical rollout in Japan on October 16, 2026, alongside a striking new key visual that frames the five-piece in their signature masquerade glamour.

According to the film’s synopsis, the story jumps to spring—more than half a year after the band’s comeback. Success is finally within reach when keyboardist and architect Sakiko Togawa proposes a “secret masquerade” for their next stage, setting the stage for another high-stakes performance where masks and motives blur.

Core talent from the TV series is back: director Kodai Kakimoto returns, scripts come from Midori Goto and Akiko Waba, and animation is credited to Sanzigen’s NICHICALINE label rather than the main studio brand. The full Ave Mujica voice cast reprises their roles, led by Kanon Takao as Sakiko/Oblivionis, with the rest of the masked quintet intact.

The movie bridges the critically praised Ave Mujica TV run and the next chapter already on the calendar: a MyGO!!!!!/Ave Mujica sequel series set for January 2027. Fans can also expect a mini-album, Kami no na wo, with four new tracks shipping October 21—just days after opening night. Advance tickets are already live on the official movie site.
