Not a single day passes without some sort of commotion in the life of kindergartener Shinnosuke "Shin-chan" Nohara. This five-year-old surpasses even the most troublesome, perverted, and shameless child one could imagine. Shin-chan is constantly occupied with dubious activities—forgetting about a friend during hide and seek, engaging in sumo wrestling for love, performing various gags such as the infamous "elephant" out in public, and flirting with college women. This exemplary mischief-maker has done it all and has no intention of stopping anytime soon. Crayon Shin-chan chronicles the daily antics of Shin-chan alongside his circle of friends, who parade around as the self-proclaimed "Kasukabe Defense Force." The adults who witness these shenanigans cannot help but adore Shin-chan, as he keeps them amused while unwittingly resolving their everyday problems through his mindless behavior—leaving himself as the sole dilemma they have no idea how to handle.

Princess Erika of the Magic Kingdom travels to Earth to locate a human girl who is her exact double. She finds Himeko Nonohara, an extreme tomboy. To prove herself worthy of inheriting the throne, Erika must give Himeko a magical item she crafted. Himeko is tasked with testing this ribbon, which lets her transform into any person she sees, to determine its worthiness. The story chronicles Himeko's escapades and her developing romance with Daichi, the boy who stumbles upon her secret.

Natsumi Mizuki is a fourth grader whose parents have gone to London, leaving her in the care of her Aunt Izumi. Izumi is an aspiring manga writer trying to get her first big break, so she has little time for a baby that suddenly appears out of nowhere on Natsumi’s first night alone. The baby’s name is Mirai, and her mother is Natsumi—but a Natsumi who is fifteen years older. Somehow, Mirai has traveled back in time. Now young Natsumi must raise Mirai while trying to keep her fourth-grade life from falling apart and keep Mirai-chan a secret from everyone. She has the dubious help of Izumi and some baby-care gadgets from the future.

Tsuyoshi Ikawa resides at home with his attractive and well-liked sisters. Despite their positive attributes, his sisters and mother are terrible at household chores such as cooking, so Tsuyoshi takes on all of those duties while his father is away on a temporary job transfer to another city.

The narrative follows Mr. Araiwa and his household. At his large corporation, he is an exemplary worker, yet at home he transforms into a different person. He has a strong passion for cooking and seizes every chance to prepare tasty meals for his wife, whose job as a journalist keeps her busy, as well as for their young son.

The series centers on the small fledgling Calimero and his companions as they go on many adventures, uncovering secret after secret, and sometimes landing in trouble.

After causing chaos in the Witch Forest, Yadamon is banished to the human world by her mother, the queen. As Yadamon learns to adapt to the human world and control her powers, a new threat emerges. Kira, the evil witch who was sealed inside a volcano by the queen and the great witch Beril, has escaped. Seeking revenge, she targets both the humans and Yadamon.

Kobo Tabata is part of a typical Japanese family. His father works as a salary-man, his mother is a stay-at-home housewife, his maternal grandparents help take care of the household and its pets, and his uncle is a somewhat overweight high school teacher. Even so, they find themselves in strange situations that crop up either from Kobo's growing-up process or simply because of their own quirks and misunderstandings.

Each sibling's power is tied to a specific body part: Bernie relies on his legs, Bruno on his arms, Bubba on his tail, Buck on his mouth and teeth, and Bugsy on his telekinetic eyes. Together, they ride out in their Rexmobile to take on “Big Boss” Graves, the crime lord of Rep City, along with his evil syndicate, The Corporation. Their younger sister Ginger is a member of their singing group, yet she remains unaware of her brothers' double lives.

Jiang arrives at his family's traditional cherry blossom viewing spot, only to find it littered with garbage. Reluctantly sitting down to eat his lunch, he is startled when a strange creature falls from the sky. The creature's name is Kororin, and he hails from the Star Oasis. Using his ESP, Kororin has come to teach the importance of caring for the environment. Together with Jiang and his sister, Kororin must face Syndrome, an evil alien intent on destroying Earth—usually through some ecological crisis like tearing a hole in the ozone layer, altering the weather, or causing an overuse of electricity.
