Gainax, operating out of Fukushima, is developing a project commissioned by the prefectural government of Fukushima that focuses on the region's recovery initiatives after the 2011 Great East Japan earthquake and tsunami, as well as the consequences of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant disaster.
