Continues the story of Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 2: Shiroki Ryuu no Miko

Set a century after the events of the first Harukanaru Toki no Naka de, the narrative reveals that while a hundred years have passed in the present, only a brief moment has elapsed in the past. The city of Kyou, modeled after Heian-era Kyoto, is engulfed in chaos due to a political rift between the reigning emperor and the retired emperor. Amidst this turmoil, the populace descends into despair, terrified by apocalyptic omens. While strolling with her companions, Karin is suddenly transported to Kyou by the White Dragon. Selected to serve as the new priestess, she is tasked with battling evil alongside her guardians, all while being haunted by vivid visions of an enigmatic man.

In this installment

A century has elapsed since the events of Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 2 (two centuries after the original anime) within the past timeline, while only a short span has passed in the future. High school student Kasuga Nozomi meets a mysterious boy on her campus, and he transports her through time and space to Kyou—a realm resembling Kyoto near the Heian period's end. There, the Minamoto clan (Genji), under Minamoto no Yoritomo, battles the Taira clan (Heike), led by Taira no Kiyomori. The Heike attempt to defeat the Genji by unleashing vengeful spirits that disturb the land's natural energy flow and terrorize the region. The boy is revealed to be the human incarnation of Hakuryuu, the White Dragon God who protects Kyou, but his power is diminished by the vengeful spirits' presence. As the Hakuryuu no Miko (Priestess of the White Dragon God), Nozomi sides with the Genji since Hakuryuu cannot return her home until his strength is restored.
