Synopsis
Continues the story of Clannad
In "Clannad," Tomoya Okazaki is a high school student who feels disconnected from his surroundings, often skipping classes and spending his time aimlessly with his friend Youhei Sunohara. One day, his attention is caught by Nagisa Furukawa, a girl who unexpectedly exclaims "Anpan!"—a popular Japanese pastry—prompting his curiosity. Though he initially brushes off her offer of friendship, Tomoya starts noticing Nagisa's frequent presence around the school. Eventually, he gives in and becomes her friend, learning that she had to repeat a year due to a serious illness and has a dream of reviving the school's drama club. With little else to occupy his time, Tomoya joins her in this effort, along with four other girls. Through his interactions with these girls and his attempts to help them overcome their personal struggles, Tomoya begins to see life from a new perspective, discovering that it may not be as dull as he once believed.

In "Clannad: After Story," Tomoya Okazaki and Nagisa Furukawa have finished high school and now face the realities of adult life. Tomoya is uncertain about his path ahead, but he learns the importance of persistence and grows to appreciate Nagisa's unwavering support. Driven by their shared determination and goals, they work together to overcome personal obstacles, strengthen their connections, and form new bonds. At the same time, progress continues in the Imaginary World. As winter arrives and brings a cold to the landscape, the Imaginary Girl and the Garbage Doll encounter a major challenge that unveils the true reason for this world's existence.
