In the final arc of ReLIFE, 27-year-old Arata Kaizaki finds himself profoundly changed after experiencing high school again through the ReLIFE program. This second chance has rekindled his youthful perspective, which he had lost as an adult, and allowed him to form deep friendships with his classmates. However, his supervisor, Ryou Yoake, reminds him that this transformation is part of an experiment, and upon its conclusion, his presence will be erased from everyone's memories.
Similarly, Chizuru Hishiro, another participant nearing the end of her two-year ReLIFE journey, has evolved into someone much more open and caring than she ever imagined. Throughout her time in the program, she has met people who have fundamentally altered her life, her outlook, and her identity. As the end of their ReLIFE experiences approaches, both must face the challenge of letting go of the cherished memories they've made.
