Produced by Production I.G and directed by Mizuho Nishikubo, this short anime was screened at the V Jump Festival '98. The special is an adaptation of the Slime Boukenki manga by Osamu Kaneko.

In collaboration with the Nippon Television Network Corporation's information program Sukkiri!, a one-minute special titled Sukkiri Crawlers was created to promote the theatrical release of The Sky Crawlers. It aired every day until the day before the film opened. The series features characters based on the show's hosts—Koji Kato, Terry Ito, and Elaine Hayama—who are suddenly transported into the world of The Sky Crawlers, thereby showcasing the film's setting and characters. Each episode includes quotations from notable individuals such as Shuji Terayama and Mamoru Oshii. All episodes are accessible on the bonus DVD included with the Blu-ray Collector’s Edition.

Mamoru Oshii directed this short film after finishing The Sky Crawlers. It functions as a prelude to the Ghost in the Shell 3.0 movie and was included in the special edition Blu-ray release of Garm Wars.

In Kamimine Town, located in the eastern part of Saga Prefecture, the narrative centers on the famed warrior Minamoto no Tametomo. Often described by the phrase "Yoshitsune in the east, Tametomo in the west," he was known locally as Hachirou Chinzei and constructed a fortress there. Together with his forces, he is said to have vanquished 50,000 enemies, generating numerous legends. Chinzei was famous as a master archer and a physically imposing man with a hot-tempered and naturally violent nature. However, he also showed considerable tenderness and benevolence, unveiling a softer aspect.

This prompts an urgent decision to clear both the landfill and downtown area, turning them into empty lots.

Neri Ooishi, a skilled high school student in volleyball, previously served as captain of her elementary school team that advanced to the national tournament. However, she spent three years as a substitute player at a prestigious junior high school volleyball program. Now in high school with a new set of teammates, Neri has an opportunity to demonstrate her abilities again. The sixth manga volume is scheduled for release on October 23, accompanied by a special edition that includes an anime DVD. Nihonbashi is writing the anime script, with Production I.G handling the animation.

Seikima II, a genuine Japanese death-metal act celebrated for its kabuki-style aesthetics and lyrical focus on sexual assault, murder, and Satanic destruction, is portrayed in this OVA as demons hailing from the Makai alternate realm. The story centers around five ruthless demons, including the band members, led by Demon Kogure, who plot to exterminate humanity. Their primary opponent is Rosa, a guardian figure who is actually the rehabilitated war deity Freyja in disguise. As the demons aim to activate their catastrophic device, the Tower of Babel, Rosa works feverishly to complete her counter-device, the Tower of Cain. At the moment the demons are poised for triumph and global devastation, their leader suddenly changes tactics. Rather than destroying the world, he opts to form a music group to lure humans into demon worship through rock-and-roll.

They have also revealed that animated short films related to the game will debut in October. The story follows Yūrī, a young man traversing the perilous realm of space who eventually takes command of his own ship. To enrich the game's setting and narrative, animation studios GONZO and Production I.G are creating these promotional shorts. The first film is set to be shown at the Tokyo Game Show on October 9 and will then be made accessible on the game's official website beginning October 17.

He instructs them to vividly imagine a cool, giant robot—if they do, something should happen. Then, a huge spaceship appears in the sky, and an alien named Wercury shows himself via a 3-D projection. He announces that he comes from the Star of Prokimasi and has arrived to reclaim the meteorite belonging to the Choshin people. If Earth does not hand it over, he will challenge them to a battle. Manabu and his friends are bewildered by this sudden development, but the meteorite responds to their collective thoughts and begins to transform into a giant robot. Attacked by the invading Prokimasi robot, they are forced to unite their efforts and fight back. However, coordinating the wills of eight individuals into one is extremely difficult, and the robot cannot perform as it should. The giant robot, which Hashiba names "Gakusaver," and Manabu's group—can they protect Earth and the meteorite from the Prokimasi invasion?
