Ghost in the Shell: Ghost Chaser

Synopsis

In the newly renovated Diver City Tokyo Plaza, a cutting-edge virtual reality attraction debuts within the "hexaRide" zone. Designed to accommodate up to twelve guests simultaneously, the experience employs Q-Ride technology featuring six-axis motion and VR headsets, costing 1,000 yen (approximately US$9) per person. Set in the Kuzan Republic, the story centers on the defense minister’s planned attendance at the Next-generation Weapon Coordination Council meeting. Before the event, they request a preliminary site inspection. Public Security Section 9, led by Motoko Kusanagi, assigns ride participants to both escort and secure the inspection route. Using the hexaRide vehicles, these individuals venture into cyberspace as Section 9 operatives to combat insurgent forces.
