In "Chronos Ruler," Koyuki Honda anticipates her graduation while dealing with being the sole survivor of her family after her brother's death. While visiting his grave, she encounters Kiri and Victor Putin, two brothers pursuing an odd creature. Although they claim to be making a film, Victor captivates Koyuki with the legend of the school's clock tower: a wish made there at midnight under a full moon can reverse time and retrieve lost items. When Koyuki tests the legend, she discovers a dark reality—that the story is a trap for time-demons called Horologues, which feed on human grief. Victor uses Koyuki's sorrow as bait to lure one of these demons. Kiri and Victor then reveal themselves as Chronos Rulers, warriors against such entities wielding the Oath of Time, a tool that manipulates time itself. After the Horologue is defeated, Koyuki finds closure, while the brothers continue their fight against these demons to protect humanity from further pain.

With the sudden emergence of the mysterious continent called Magmell, a fresh age of exploration starts. Offering immense, undeveloped natural resources, this newly found land attracts many expeditions into its expansive wilderness. Yet, threats hide in these uncharted territories. To guarantee the safety of these explorers, specialists known as "anglers" are assigned to handle the dangerous wildlife of Magmell. Heading these efforts is Inyou, a skilled and seasoned angler who carries out search and rescue missions for clients, supported by his helper, Zero.
