Yoi Takiguchi's sighs are met with admiration from her female classmates, earning her the nickname of the school's "prince" because of her androgynous appearance and composed nature. She pays little attention to this praise and lives her days without much hassle—until Kohaku Ichimura shows up and tells her she is beautiful.
Kohaku is far from princely; he is impulsive and doesn't follow any rules. Still, his compliment leaves Yoi flustered, and his stare unsettles her. He is the first boy who regards her as a girl, and despite her attempts to keep a distance, he seems set on getting closer. Although Yoi tries to convince herself it's nothing important, she cannot help being stirred by Kohaku's presence.
