Takashi Natsume has always felt like an outsider due to his unique ability to see youkai. Shuttled between various foster homes, he grew up isolated and lonely, eventually shutting himself off from his caretakers and classmates after realizing no one would believe his experiences. His solitude is interrupted when he accidentally shatters a spiritual barrier, releasing Madara, a powerful spirit disguised as a lucky cat. Madara recognizes Natsume’s striking resemblance to his late grandmother, Reiko Natsume, a pariah who earned infamy in the youkai world by creating the Book of Friends. Natsume now possesses this book, which holds the power to summon youkai whose names Reiko had conquered. Uninterested in wielding such power, Natsume keeps the book to honor his grandmother’s memory and safeguard it from malicious youkai. He strikes a deal with Madara: upon the expiration of his time, Madara will receive the book, and in exchange, the spirit will serve as Natsume’s unofficial bodyguard under the guise of Nyanko-sensei. Guided by his new objective of releasing the youkai Reiko had sealed, Natsume’s connections with both the human and youkai worlds gradually begin to strengthen.

After his heroic sacrifice during the Albion conflict, Saito Hiraga is granted a knighthood and takes on the status of a noble, a change that Louise Françoise Le Blanc de La Vallière struggles to come to terms with. With their relationship no longer that of a powerful Void mage and her incompetent familiar, Louise begins to question what their connection truly means. While visiting a castle, Louise is attacked by the formidable mage Sheffield. Unable to defeat her opponent alone, she is saved by Saito’s unexpected arrival. The mysterious effects of Void magic seem to influence the fight, leading Louise to suspect that another Void user exists. She also notices that Saito’s magical rune is starting to decay, prompting a new mission to locate the elf who previously restored his life. As they work to restore the runes and redefine their bond, the former master and servant must face these new obstacles together.

In November 1998, a double murder takes place at the newly built Ogawa apartment complex in central Mifune City. The killer, Tomoe Enjou, flees in a state of panic. To his surprise, the police do not pursue him, and the incident receives no media coverage. After Shiki Ryougi protects Tomoe from a group of thugs, she lets him hide out at her place. A few days later, Tomoe is horrified to find that his mother is still alive, even though he is certain he killed her. Meanwhile, Mikiya Kokutou looks into a tip that his associate Touko Aozaki receives concerning the murder at the unusual apartment complex. As Mikiya uncovers more details about the incident, he becomes especially interested in Tomoe. Deciding to investigate him further, Mikiya soon learns the disturbing truth behind the ominous Ogawa complex. The fifth entry in the Kara no Kyoukai film series, Mujun Rasen blends an intricately constructed mystery with established themes and characters to create a dark, thought-provoking story.

Gainax announced a website for the fall 2008 theatrical adaptation of the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann TV series. The original director and series script editor are both returning for the new project. Additionally, Gainax will host four events at that year's Tokyo International Anime Fair to commemorate the occasion, featuring voice actors from the anime.

A mysterious alien race called the Neuroi, armed with catastrophic weaponry, launched an invasion of Earth, laying waste to nations and crushing human armies. They began their battle against the Neuroi, harnessing their enhanced magical powers and wielding destructive weapons no ordinary human could handle. By 1944, Yoshika Miyafuji, a young teenage girl, decides to join the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, also called the "Strike Witches." Meanwhile, ordinary high school student Tsutomu Senkawa explores an abandoned building with a friend, unaware that Birdy has tracked Geega to the same location. Senkawa briefly witnesses their fight before Geega takes him hostage. Birdy, not noticing, attacks Geega and accidentally kills Senkawa. Distraught, she quickly decides to save him by merging his consciousness into her own body. Now, Birdy and Senkawa must share the same body, juggling Senkawa's high school life, Shion Arita's modeling career, and Birdy's increasingly perilous duties as a Federation officer.

Aniplex has announced that a 10-minute Gintama short anime titled "Shiroyasha Koutan" will be released on September 30th. This special was originally screened at the Jump Super Anime Tour 2008 and had never been made available on DVD. The release serves as a trailer for an imaginary Gintama film. Additionally, the DVD includes the Gintama OVA that was shown at the Jump Anime Tour '05.

Hakufu’s aspirations to engage in fresh battles and tournaments are suspended when new hurdles arise. Her allies have abandoned their trust in her, fresh adversaries emerge, and a previously unknown younger sister appears at her home. A spinoff of the Nintendo DS RPG from SEGA, which debuted in Japan in July 2008. In this world, humans are kept as livestock by the dominant beastman race, and sand serves in place of both water and fire. Kyrie is enlisted by the "World Destruction Committee" to help them end their world. Only Kyrie possesses the necessary power to accomplish this.

Yuno successfully passes her entrance examination and enters Yamabuki High School to pursue an art degree. She resides at the Hidamari Apartments together with her best friend Miyako as well as the older students Hiro and Sae. Every episode chronicles a single day in her routine, as she interacts with her friends, classmates, overly energetic teachers, and observes the everyday life of high school girls.

While reviewing applications for a head patissier, one name catches his eye: Yuusuke Ono, the same young man who confessed his feelings to Keiichirou back in high school and was harshly rejected. Following the events of the first season, the surge in Thanatos combined with the disappearance of the Aube Hunters has reduced Arcadia to ruins. It has been six months since the Hidamari mansion was reduced to ashes, and the Aube Hunters, once celebrated as heroes, are now blamed for the emergence of the Thanatos. She handles strange and otherworldly cases as a member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police. In addition to confronting supernatural entities in her job, Yakushiji must also contend with her rival Yukiko Muromachi, another equally skilled and beautiful police detective.

Ran is a cheerful and lively first-year junior high school student with supernatural abilities. Alongside Midori, a friend who also possesses supernatural powers, and Rui, the three find themselves constantly caught up in mysterious situations. Ran struggles with her powers because they tend to provoke ill will from those around her. With encouragement from her family and friends, however, she learns to embrace her other side and accept herself. The trio also discovers how to work together as a team to resolve these strange events.

044 is transformed into the government's most formidable female soldier through viral gene manipulation, gaining superior combat abilities at the cost of a shortened lifespan. Her next assignment is to eliminate the bloodthirsty Phage squad and its leader, King. During battle, she meets a Phage soldier named Luka and finds herself unable to kill him. Confused by this hesitation, she is branded a traitor by Daxus Jr., the head of the government faction. Now hunted by both Phage and the government, she flees alongside the wounded Luka.

With funding from the Kujo Group, Chinami and her friends create an organization named OZ. Its mission is to peacefully incorporate individuals with Type-E powers into society while resisting the Foundation, a group that works to capture and manipulate Type-E users for its own hidden aims.

The series follows the everyday life of Akiba-chan and four other TV and game enthusiasts living in the Maison de Akiba apartments. The computer animation was produced by Buildup Entertainment (Gundam: Mission To The Rise, Macross Plus), directed by Junya Kabe (Specter, D), with character designs by Poyoyon Rock (Nurse Witch Komugi, Starship Girl Yamamoto Yohko).

Each five-minute episode follows the exploits of three robot friends—Nejimaru, Sombrenosuke, and Drum-Kan-Be—who live together with humans in the same world. When an alien invasion known as Corporation Baddoru arrives, they are compelled to unite against the intruders.
