Following a devastating tragedy, Yabuki Joe falls into a state of despair and hopelessness. Seeking to leave his past behind, he abandons the gym and begins to wander aimlessly. During his journey, he encounters figures such as Wolf Kanagushi and Goromaki Gondo, whose presence inadvertently rekindles the fading passion within him, prompting him to cease his travels. Upon returning home, Joe resumes his boxing career, yet he and his trainer are unaware that he is grappling with profound psychological obstacles that hinder his performance. To help Joe overcome these deep-seated struggles, Carlos Rivera, a celebrated boxer from Venezuela, is brought in to assist in his recovery.
