To settle the debate, they each go separately to places tied to either the occult or ghosts—Ayase picks the occult, and the boy picks ghosts. When they reach their spots, they find out both the occult and ghosts are actually real. This discovery throws Ayase and the boy into a series of adventures where they deal with all the supernatural and occult events they come across, hoping to get back to a normal life.
