In "Sora no Otoshimono," Tomoki Sakurai is troubled by a recurring dream in which an unknown angel vanishes into the sky, saying, "The sky has captured me." One day, the dream changes, and the angel descends, urgently seeking his help. While napping in class, his childhood friend Sohara Mitsuki wakes Tomoki and notices his tears. Worried, she encourages him to consult Eishirou Sugata, an older student obsessed with "The New Continent," a mysterious aerial phenomenon that has no explanation. As the anomaly is about to pass over their town, Sugata suggests meeting at midnight to explore Tomoki's dream and gather information about The New Continent. Even though his friends do not show up, Tomoki arrives alone and witnesses an angeloid falling from the sky, who attaches herself to him and declares him her master. Sohara then forces Tomoki to join the New Continent Discovery Club, which Sugata is the only other member of. Together, the three investigate the mysteries of The New Continent, the angeloids, and the girl from Tomoki's dreams, uncovering truths that may be more dangerous than anticipated.
