Facing unemployment and societal pressures, Yijae Choi is betrayed by his ex-girlfriend and a devastating bitcoin scam that wipes out his savings. Despondent, he decides to take his own life but inadvertently angers Death with his lack of respect for the act of dying. As punishment, Death challenges Yijae to a game where he must endure thirteen consecutive deaths by inhabiting different people's bodies. If Yijae can survive each perilous situation, he may continue living out the remainder of that individual's life. Having failed at his own existence, Yijae wonders if he can succeed in the lives of others.
