My Happy Marriage
わたしの幸せな結婚
Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon
After her mother's death, Miyo Saimori has been left with little more than her memories to hold onto as reminders of happiness. Lacking any notable talents herself, Miyo has grown up living in the shadow of her gifted stepsister, enduring every cruel remark directed at her without complaint. Her stepmother's hatred is clear in how she treats Miyo, showing not a trace of pity or concern. Miyo accepts that her lot in life is to work as a servant for her uncaring family—until her father arranges for her to marry Kiyoka Kudou, a respected man with a military background. The rumors surrounding Kudou are harsh, and he is infamous for having been exceptionally cold toward all of his previous prospective brides. When Miyo, carrying only the bare necessities for starting a new life, arrives at her betrothed's residence, she is surprised to discover that not all the gossip about Kudou is true. As she begins to separate reality from rumor, Miyo hopes that her marriage will finally bring her the happiness she has been longing for.
