Set in 16th-century Florence during the Renaissance, the city thrives with lively art workshops and emerging talents. While men freely chase their artistic dreams, women are limited to domestic roles. Arte, born into nobility, has a deep love for painting. After her father's death, her mother tries to shape Arte into a proper lady because of their limited dowry. Despite this, Arte stays bold and spirited, determined to challenge traditional gender norms and pursue her goal of becoming a famous artist. Unshaken by many rejections, Arte keeps seeking an apprenticeship. She finally gets a break with Leo, the owner of a small workshop, who agrees to take her on after seeing her steady dedication to art. Under Leo's guidance, Arte begins her path to make her place in the mostly male art world.

Background

The first 17 chapters of Arte were published in English on the Silent Manga Audition website from August 25, 2015, to December 25, 2016, before release was halted. The series has been published digitally in English through Comikey since November 6, 2021. The first three volumes of the series were published digitally by Media Do International/Coamix from October 2, 2018, to October 12, 2018.
