In a certain imperial court, a 17-year-old girl named Maomao was abducted and compelled to serve as a low-ranking attendant in the emperor's palace. Despite her situation, Maomao holds onto her inquisitive and practical nature, intending to endure her servitude until it ends. One day, she hears that the emperor's two infant children have fallen seriously ill. Drawing on her background as a pharmacist raised in the impoverished red-light district, she secretly intervenes. Though Maomao tries to remain hidden, her actions draw the notice of Jinshi, a powerful eunuch who recognizes her abilities. Maomao soon finds herself in the emperor's inner court, where she steadily earns a reputation by applying her expertise and eccentric demeanor to unravel various medical mysteries.
