Higuchi Kiyotaka is at his lowest point. A former aspiring cardiovascular surgeon, a traumatic event forced him to move to a rural town in Kyushu, where he now works as a general practitioner. Each day, he struggles to understand patients with thick local accents and battles overwhelming guilt and depression. One night, after drinking himself into a stupor, he meets a mysterious yakuza named Tenju, who offers to help him forget his worries for one night. As Higuchi indulges in unfamiliar pleasures, he can't help but question who Tenju really is and what he wants from him.
