Tune In to the Midnight Heart Season 2 Locks 2027 With Sister Cast

The showbiz-flavored rom-com is heading back to the airwaves. On Saturday, the official site for Tune In to the Midnight Heart (Mayonaka Heart Tune) dropped a second teaser visual and confirmed that Season 2 will premiere in 2027, giving the broadcast-club crew more time to chase their “voice” dreams after the first season’s winter run.
Two major family faces join the roster for the new season: Ami Koshimizu voices Riina Yamabuki, Arisu’s short-stature-conscious older sister, while Kaede Hondo takes on Mito Yamabuki, the cheerful younger sibling who is far more laid-back than her hot-tempered sister and eccentric brother. Both characters step into the frame as the Yamabuki household expands beyond Arisu’s high-pressure perfectionism.
Studio Gekkou remains at the helm, with Masayuki Takahashi returning as director and Yukie Sugawara back as series composer. Character designer Tomoyuki Shitaya, composer Kuniyuki Takahashi, and sound director Yuuichi Morita also return, keeping the production continuity fans clocked across Season 1’s Crunchyroll simulcast and English dub.
Masakuni Igarashi’s source manga—serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine since 2023 after Senryuu Shoujo—is still mid-climb, with volume 14 due in mid-August and Kodansha USA handling English releases. Season 2’s 2027 window should give both the adaptation and the page room to keep the midnight frequency humming.
