MIYAVI has garnered global acclaim for his distinctive guitar technique, which eschews a pick in favor of a unique finger-based "slap style." His career includes six successful world tours comprising over 250 performances across 30 nations in North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. In 2013, Miyavi embarked on a new artistic chapter with the single "Ahead Of The Light," blending his signature slap guitar with the driving rhythms of electro and dance music. That same year, his self-titled album, Miyavi, was released in Japan in June before expanding to markets throughout Asia, Europe, and North America. Recently, his work has attracted significant interest from other artists and creators, including commissions for television commercials. His compositions have been featured in advertising campaigns for major brands such as Uniqlo, Toshiba, Nissan, Lotte Co., and Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co. Beyond music, Miyavi has drawn attention from the fashion industry and made his acting debut in Unbroken.
