Born Youko Tsujino on December 10, 1968, in Kashiwa, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, Youko Oginome is a multifaceted entertainer known for her work as a singer, actress, and voice actress. Although she spent the majority of her elementary and junior high school years in Ranzan, Saitama Prefecture, she attended school in Sakura city. She later completed her secondary education at Horikoshi High School in Nakano, Tokyo. Currently managed by Vision Factory, formerly known as Rising Production, Oginome is the younger sister of actress Keiko Oginome. In 2001, while four months pregnant, Oginome entered into a shotgun wedding with Ryuusou Tsujino, a professional tennis player and her former classmate from Horikoshi High School. She welcomed a second child in 2004, subsequently taking a year-long hiatus from her career to focus on her family. On March 16, 2006, she announced via her blog that she was expecting a third child, who was safely born on August 10, 2006. Her devoted fanbase frequently addresses her by the affectionate nickname Oginome-chan.
