In "SoreMachi: And Yet the Town Moves," Hotori Arashiyama seems like an ordinary high school student with a passion for detective stories and a part-time job at a maid café, working to pay off a huge debt from eating too much free curry. Outside of work, she spends time with friends, looks after her younger siblings, and sometimes bothers her math teacher. Despite her typical teenage life, Hotori often faces strange and unexplainable events. Her daily routine is filled with supernatural happenings, such as an unexpected tour of Heaven, discovering a ray gun that creates massive craters, and accidentally getting involved in an alien conflict. Her endless curiosity also drives her to explore puzzling mysteries, like uncovering the hidden meaning behind paintings in a will, searching for a mysterious person at a hospital, and joining a treasure hunt in a remote village. Even though Hotori repeatedly finds herself in bizarre situations, the town keeps moving as usual, unaffected by the strange events around her.

Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru won the Excellence Award in the Manga Division at the 17th Japan Media Arts Festival in 2013. In 2018, the manga was also awarded the Seiun Award for Best Comic, and ranked 20th in the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! for the Male Readers division. The series was published digitally in English as And Yet, The Town Moves by Crunchyroll. It was also published as SoreMachi: And Yet the Town Moves by Shonen Gahosha through Manga Planet from May 20, 2020, to May 26, 2021. The manga was published in Italian by GP Publishing from June 23, 2012, to October 20, 2012—with the company only publishing the first three volumes.
