At the age of eleven, Iwanaga Kotoko was abducted by yokai who convinced her to serve as their "god of wisdom"—a go-between for yokai, other supernatural entities, and humans. Alongside the apparently goat-like yet monstrous Sakuragawa Kurou and his former fiancée, police officer Yumihara Saki, she works to resolve an especially tough case: the ghost of idol Nanase Karin, the violent "Steel-Beam Nanase," roams the streets each night swinging her I-beam at anything in her path. This "ghost" is almost certainly not what it claims to be.
