In "A Sign of Affection," Yuki Itose, who has been deaf since birth, lives a quiet life in her hometown, keeping close only to her best friend, Rin Fujishiro. On an ordinary trip, she meets Itsuomi Nagi, a silver-haired multilingual man who is an acquaintance of Rin. Unlike others, Itsuomi is unfazed by Yuki's deafness, and his experiences around the world fascinate and move her. As their paths separate, Yuki finds herself growing feelings for him. This meeting opens a new world for both of them, as they begin to appreciate each other's different perspectives. "Yubisaki to Renren" is a lighthearted romantic comedy that follows the quiet life of a college student and how one person's global view starts to change her own.

Yubisaki to Renren ranked ninth and 17th in the 2021 and 2022 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! for the Female Readers division, respectively. The manga was nominated for the Kodansha Manga Award in the Shoujo category for four consecutive years from 2021 to 2024. The series has been published digitally in English as A Sign of Affection by Kodansha USA since March 31, 2020, and in print since February 23, 2021. It has also been released as 3-in-1 omnibus volumes since May 14, 2024. The series has also been simulpub through K Manga. It has also been published in Polish by Studio JG since May 12, 2023; and in Portuguese by Distrito Manga since March 2025.
