In the year 20xx, the economy has collapsed and public order has deteriorated. Asahi, about to end his own life in a filthy alley, is saved by a young man who introduces himself as Suzu. At first, Asahi—still set on dying—lashes out at Suzu, but after his true desire to live is exposed from the depths of his heart, he comes to accept Suzu. Suzu may be unstable, but he doesn't seem dishonest either. While treating Asahi as if he were much younger, Suzu occasionally wears a surprisingly lonely expression, which makes Asahi's heart tremble for the first time. "That's what I thought—I wanted to know more about Suzu. No matter what kind of sorrow he carries..."
