Misawa, a police officer who feels somewhat cold and jaded about romance, one night crosses paths with a woman being stalked—and with her hired "rental boyfriend," Tomoeda Naoyuki. At first glance, Tomoeda seems highly suspicious. With droopy eyes and a sweet, handsome face, he looks like a gentle pretty boy, but he’s detached, hard to read, incredibly forward, and does everything at his own pace. Starting the very next day after they meet, he begins seducing Misawa with lines like, “How about we have a no-strings-attached relationship?”—words whose real intentions are impossible to decipher. Though thrown off balance, Misawa finds himself overwhelmed by Tomoeda’s persistence and eventually lets himself be kissed.
