At the end of her favorite manga, Fuuko Izumo decides to end her own life, weighed down by a curse that brings tragedy whenever she is touched. Over the past ten years, this curse has caused the destruction of everything around her and the loss of those she loved, including her parents. While standing on a bridge above train tracks, Fuuko is unexpectedly touched by a stranger, causing the ground to collapse and sending him falling in front of an approaching train. When she examines his body, she notices it regenerating, revealing that the man, whom she calls Andy, is immortal and also longs for death. Though hesitant at first, Fuuko eventually agrees to help Andy achieve his goal of dying a glorious death. However, their plans are complicated by a secretive organization that seeks to exploit their extraordinary abilities.

Undead Unluck ranked first in the Best Printed Manga category at the sixth Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Awards in 2020. It ranked 14th in the 2021 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! for the Male Readers division and sixth on Honya Club's Nationwide Bookstore Employees' Recommended Comics of 2021 list. The series was published digitally as an English simulpub through MANGA Plus. The volumes have been published in English by VIZ Media under the Shonen Jump imprint since May 4, 2021. It has also been released in Italian by Panini Comics since November 11, 2021.
