In Hokkaido, high schoolers Shuji and Chise are starting to grow closer. Out of nowhere, bombers from an unidentified country strike and lay waste to Sapporo. Just when all hope appears lost, the assaulting aircraft are wiped out by an enigmatic tiny red light streaking across the sky. Shuji comes to understand that their savior is Chise, who unexpectedly discloses her real self as a cyborg engineered for combat.
