In the past, Noriko Tachiki has experienced vivid dreams of a fantastical realm, which her peers often brush off as mere fantasies. One day, while walking home, she comes across what appears to be a paper bag, only for it to explode in front of her. Rather than meeting her end, she finds herself mysteriously transported to an enigmatic forest teeming with unusual flora and fauna. Attempting to make sense of her surroundings, Noriko is abruptly confronted by a monstrous worm-like creature. Luckily, a sword-wielding individual named Izark Kia Tarj intervenes, although they cannot communicate due to a language barrier. Realizing she cannot survive on her own, Noriko opts to accompany her silent rescuer, hoping to learn the local language and assist Izark. Unknown to Noriko, she plays a crucial role in an ancient prophecy. She is identified as "The Awakening," destined to unleash a great evil known as the "Sky Demon." As powerful entities scheme to seize Noriko because of these alleged abilities, she and Izark must navigate their challenging journey, facing a tumultuous future ahead.
