In "Yozora no Sumikko de," high school student Kaoru Hoshino joins the Astronomy Club, which is overseen by his upperclassman Akihiro Sudou. Since the club has only these two members, a unique bond develops between them. Hoshino tells himself that what he feels for Sudou is purely admiration and that once Sudou graduates, they will go their separate ways. A decade and a year later, fate reunites them when Sudou appears at the elementary school where Hoshino now teaches and suddenly becomes ill. After Hoshino tends to Sudou in the school infirmary, he learns that Sudou is the father of Shouta, a bright student of Hoshino's who has a crush on him. As these two adults reconnect, they must decide whether to put the past behind them and focus only on the present, without allowing for any expectation of a romantic future.
