Upon learning a prophecy that foretells his death at the hands of a member of the Sui Tribe, King Hasana seeks to avoid this fate by tracking down the predicted assassin. To his surprise, the would-be killer turns out to be a mere child, whom he captures and forces into servitude rather than killing. Over time, a deep mutual understanding develops between King Hasana and the boy, Dakasin. Yet despite their growing bond, the relentless pull of destiny threatens to drive them apart.
