In "Mieruko-chan," Miko Yotsuya lives a typical life until she begins seeing unsettling and horrifying monsters. Despite being terrified, she continues her ordinary high school routine, pretending not to notice the supernatural beings around her. Resolved to keep herself and her friend Hana Yurikawa safe, she forces herself to endure her fear and face unimaginable terrors. The series mixes comedy and horror to show a teenage girl's way of coping by acting unbothered by the paranormal.
