One day, while seeking comfort at her cat’s grave, Karin unexpectedly meets Kazune Kuujou, a boy who claims to be searching for God. He mocks her for relying on her deceased cat for solace, which provokes her to unleash an unexpected surge of power through her mother's ring. After this incident, Karin notices a significant improvement in her academic performance and receives compliments from her classmates for the first time. Unbeknownst to her, the ring has granted her divine powers. These newfound abilities catch the interest of Kazune and other malicious entities who wish to harness Karin's strength for their own sinister purposes. As she learns to protect herself from these threats, Karin remains unaware of her true heritage and the existence of others like her.
