In a world devastated by the apocalypse, a contagion unleashed by the group known as the Nemesis turned the country's population into flesh-eating zombies. A enigmatic figure called the Undead King fights back with a group of survivors and supernatural creatures known as gangshi. A high school boy becomes caught in this conflict, struggling to stay alive while also protecting a young ganshi girl named Yoo Yoo who was left in his care.
