After Golden Week ends, high school student Koremitsu Akagi finds himself at the funeral of Hikaru Mikado, even though they only exchanged a few words at school. Although Hikaru has passed away, he remains as a ghost to keep a promise he made to his fiancée, Aoi Saotome. Because Koremitsu is the only one who can see Hikaru, the spirit asks for his help in completing the tasks he left unfinished. Koremitsu agrees and begins helping Hikaru mend things with his other "girlfriends," working through past conflicts and fixing broken relationships. Yet, questions start to rise about the true circumstances of Hikaru's death, leaving uncertainty over whether it was really an accident.
