In 22nd-century Tokyo, Kuroemon, a cat robot similar to Doraemon, serves as both captain and manager of the Edogawa Doras. The story follows the team's progress as they take on various rivals, evolving from a struggling squad into a top amateur baseball club. The sport's rules are mostly the same as in the present, but each match permits the use of three special gadgets borrowed from the Doraemon series.
