Kakeru Aizawa serves as the manager for his high school's mediocre soccer team, believing himself to be completely devoid of athletic ability. His older brother Suguru is the exact opposite—a brilliant star player on Japan's national team. Despite their close relationship, Kakeru secretly envies Suguru's skill. Suguru, convinced that Kakeru has hidden potential, keeps urging him to play. After an unexpected tragedy strikes, Kakeru is forced to take the field himself. At the same time, he meets an old crush again and confronts the lingering emotional wounds that have prevented him from moving forward.
